Four-way shuttles (or simply four-way shuttles) work in conjunction with reciprocating elevators to complete tasks on different levels and within different aisles of the warehouse, according to mission requirements. Under the control and scheduling of the Warehouse Control System (WCS), multiple shuttles can operate simultaneously across multiple levels. Each four-way shuttle can upload information such as location, speed, battery level, inventory status, malfunctions, and operational status to the information management system. The four-way shuttles have functions such as bulk storage and retrieval, reversing and moving goods, and pallet counting, enabling rapid material retrieval and inventory management. They are equipped with obstacle avoidance and fault alarm functions for safety protection and timely feedback of fault information. From a hardware perspective, the four-way shuttle mainly consists of a frame, lifting mechanism, drive mechanism, wheel set, power supply, and electrical control components.
